The Inauguration of the Online Training Courses on Digital Financial Services (DFS) and E-Business and Technology (EBT)

The inauguration of the online training courses on the Digital Financial Services (DFS) and the E-Business and Technology (EBT) were conducted on 13 June 2022 at 09.30 hrs. (Bangkok time). The inauguration was presided over by Mr. LIN Hongliang, the Secretary General of APPU. Ms. Kwanjai Kajornwutthideth, Manager Administration & APPU Affairs, Ms. YU Yan – EBT Course Director, and Ms. Padmaghanda Mishra – DFS Course Director participated in the function as well.  These two courses will be running from 13 June to 1 July 2022.

The DFS Course has been attended by 7 participants from 5 countries namely Philippines, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Thailand, and Vanuatu.  In the meanwhile, the EBT has been attended by 11 participants from 6 countries namely China, Iran, Laos, Solomon Islands, Thailand, and Tonga.

The DFS course topics cover the introduction to digital financial services; role of postal networks in digital financial services ecosystem; business model and potential ways of digital financial services in postal businesses; new digital strategy formulation; case Studies of Posts in offering the digital financial services; sharing information of Posts and Private sectors; and International Financial Services (IFS): tools and techniques.

 

Additionally, the participants of the DFS course will have an opportunity to attend the one-week workshop on “Setting Service Standards (SSS)”, which will be running from 20 to 24 June 2022. The aims of the workshop are to provide the techniques and information on how to set and monitor service standards within the organization and market parameters.

 

Whereas the EBT course topics are design to cover  the developing E-Commerce strategy; E-Business and innovation opportunities for Posts; cross-border business strategy in digital age; technologies and solutions that helps operation; and warehouse and Logistics management.

Moreover, the participants of EBT Course will have an opportunity to attend the workshop on “Driving Digital Strategy (DDS)” which will be running from 20 to 24 June 2022. This workshop will focus on the most relevant topics that will drive the postal business forward.
