Remarking of an Opening of the First Two Physical Training Courses after the COVID-19 Pandemic

Marketing and Innovation for Posts (MIP) and Postal Management (PMC) Courses remark as the first two physical Training Courses after the COVID-19 pandemic. The inauguration ceremony was held on Monday 19 September 2022 at 09.00 hrs. in the Auditorium of APPU.  The function presided over by Mr. LIN Hongliang, Secretary General. Ms. Kwanjia Kajornwutthideth, Manager Administration & APPU Affairs, Ms. YU Yan, Course Director of MIP and Ms. Padma Mishra, Course Director of PMC, and faculty members of APPU Bureau participated in the function as well.

The ice-break session was conducted after the opening ceremony in order to let the participants  have more interaction and get closer to each other before entering to the learning mode.

Apart from the learning activities in the classrooms both courses participants have a great experience from the benchmarking visit at the Rachadamnoen Post Office, Laksi Post Office and Call Centre of Thailand Post, and many more to come during the next four or five weeks ahead.  The sport activity and weekend trip to Pattaya were organized for them as well.

Marketing and Innovation for Posts is a 4 week course attended by 9 participants from 8 countries namely Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Japan, Laos, Nepal, Pakistan, Thailand and Tonga. The MIP course will be running from 19th September 2022 – 14 October 2022.

Postal Management Course is a 5 week course attended by 7 participants from Bhutan, Cambodia, Japan, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Tonga. The PMC course will be running from 19th September – 21 October 2022.

PMC is the high light of the training program at APPC. The study trip to Chiangmai will be organized for the PMC with the purpose of enriching the participants’ experience for a benchmarking visit to the Post Offices in province and rural areas of Thailand.

Besides this, MIP and PMC will be granted an opportunity to attend the “E-Commerce Solutions and Customer Services” which will be conducted from 4-5 October 2022.
