The inauguration of the Human Resources Management (HRM) and International Postal Services (IPS) Courses was conducted on 15 November 2021 at 09.30 hrs. (Bangkok time). The inauguration was presided over by Mr. LIN Hongliang, the Secretary General of APPU. Ms. Kwanjai Kajornwutthideth, Manager Administration & APPU Affairs, Ms. YU Yan, IPS Course Director, and Ms. Padmaghanda Mishra, HRM Course Director participated in the function as well. These two courses will be running from 15 November to 10 December 2021.
The HRM Course has been attended by 11 participants from 11 countries namely Afghanistan, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Laos, Myanmar, Pakistan, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Tonga. Whereas the IPS has been attended by 10 participants from 9 countries namely Cambodia, Macao-China, India, Laos, Myanmar, Pakistan, Solomon Islands, Thailand and Tonga.
The HRM Course is designed and adapted to enable participants and apply the best practices for Human Resource Management functions, systems and behaviors for the postal business in the current context; and to develop the leadership, employee engagement, change management, innovation management and learning capacity of participants so that they can become enablers of the transformation in their work context.
Meanwhile the aims of the IPS course are to: introduce on global post sector trend and market situation; equip the participants with latest operational procedures for handling international mail and customer service; hands on working with IPS and IPS.post software and their management; bring improvement in international mail processing, standards and quality; and update of the quality management programs, EMS operation and performance.
