Operations Management and Practical E-Commerce Management Workshops

 

The opening ceremony of the Operations Management (OM) and Practical E-Commerce Management (PEM) Workshops were taken place on 2 November 2020 and the workshops will be running from 2 to 6 November 2020.  There are 46 participants from 17 countries participating these workshops namely Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Iran, Lao, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nauru, Nepal, Philippines, Thailand, Vanuatu and Vietnam.

The Operations Management Workshop is designed to cover the aspects of the analysis of end to end operations-collections, processing, transportation and delivery; operations management tools – forecasting, capacity planning and inventory; operational excellence/service excellence; strategic operations' management techniques; management of mail, express cargo and logistics operations; strategic role of quality in operations effectiveness and understanding of the UPU project on Operational Readiness for E-Commerce.

The Practical E-Commerce Management Workshop is designed to cover to the aspects of the customer’s perspective: what are the key drivers in Asia; identification why data is important for Posts and how it can be benefited for posts; analysis data to optimize decision for postal business; and building on postal strength and making use of last-mile postal network. These concepts are delivering through the learning session like the E-Commerce opportunity for Posts, digital postal services and the sustainable development goals, digital postal services - its technical analysis and case study in posts.
