The Virtual Meeting for Congress Planning (VMCP) was held on 22 June 2022 from 13.30 to 16.00 hrs. (Bangkok time). The meeting was chaired by APPU EC Vice Chair, Mr. Yoritaka Naito, Director of Internal Affairs Office, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Japan. There were 22 APPU member countries participated in the meeting namely Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nauru, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vanuatu, and Vietnam.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss and exchange the idea in detail of the style of the Congress, the draft agenda and timetable of the Congress, a proposal for APPU Structure 2022-2026, the updated information on Congress from the host country, and identify additional information that will be useful for the 13th APPU Congress, which will be held from 29th August – 2 September 2022, Bangkok, Thailand.
