The Interactive online Training Program on (IOTP) on Setting Service Standards

The opening ceremony of the IOTP on Setting Service was held on 4 December 2020 at 13.00 hrs. The course has been conducted from 4 – 10 December 2020. Mr. LIN Hongliang, the Secretary General of APPU and Mr. LIU Zhonglin, the UPU Regional Project Coordinator for Asia-Pacific were presided over the ceremony. Ms. Kwanjai Kajornwutthideth, Manager Administration and APPU Affairs and Ms. Padmaghanda Mishra, Course Director also participated in the function.

19 participants from 19 countries namely Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kiribati, Lao PDR., Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nauru, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam attend to this training program.

The objectives are to assist participants to understand the end to end operational process; the defining of service standards; the setting up standard for each segment (E2E); customer experience management; the transmission of Electronic Advance Data  and the important of data quality transmission on time with customs, airlines and designed operators,  and                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         the implementation of post code and addressing system; the overview of standard IT tools such as IPS, CDS, GCSS, Compas, IFS and the overview of reporting systems; the quality certification system of UPU; and the operational readiness for e-Commerce.
