International Food Festival

The objective of this event is to improve the social skills, develop a total personality, bring out the latest talents, encourage public speaking and improve the creativity of participants.

The International Food Festival is organised at the auditorium at 6 pm on the first Friday evening of a current course. The whole show is organised by a social committee elected by participants and managed by them with the active support of the centre.

Each participant is expected to bring a dish of his/her country. It is advantageous to have basic cooking skills.
Participants will then come up and introduce their food and national costume. This can be informal and can be introduced in a jocular fashion.

There is a special prize for the best dressed gentleman and lady - "APPC King and Queen". After dinner the show begins. Participants perform an act of their choice. In order to give their performance a "professional touch" participants can bring with them karaoke audio/video CDs.

In between the above performances, some games are organised.
The staff of APPC and visiting consultants also participate in the "Festival".

APPC Mini Olympics

The aim of this event is to build team spirit and develop social and organisational skills. The social committee may introduce any other games that are not on the programme.

During the first week of the course, the APPC Sports Day is organised. The normal games played are table tennis, volley ball, tug-of-war, darts and other fun games.

Cultural Night & Farewell Dinner

Like the International Food Festival, the objective of the Farewell Dinner is to improve social skills, develop a total personality, bring out latent talents, encourage public speaking and improve the creativity of participants.
APPC hosts the farewell dinner at 6pm on the closing day of the training programme.

You can taste a sumptuous dinner combining Thai and other international dishes. After dinner, the MC and his team commence the cultural show - songs, dances and acts which can last for about one hour. The staff of APPC and consultants also actively take part in the event.

At about 9 pm, everybody is invited to sing the APPC song and "Auld Lang Syne".

  Weekend Trips

Apart from in-class activities, APPC also organises sightseeing trips to places in

side and outside Bangkok to acquaint the participants with the beauty and attractions Thailand offers. Places of interest like Pattaya Beach, Floating Market of Damnoen Saduak, Bridge over River Kwai of Kanchanaburi, ruins of temples at Ayyuthaya are to name a few that the participants can be taken to. This most looked forward to programme would also serve as a get together activity that would enhance the cohesiveness and understanding amongst the participants.

In addition to those, the participants can also organise trips and other get together activities by themselves with the assistance of the College staff.
