Inauguration of the Online Training Course on International Postal Service

The inauguration of the online training course on International Postal Service (IPS) was taken place on Monday 23 November 2020 at 09.30 hrs. It was presided over by the Secretary General of APPU.  Ms. YU Yan, IPS Course Director and Ms. Kwanjai Kajornwutthideth, Manager Administration & APPU Affairs also participated the function. There are 12 participants from 9 countries namely Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Lao, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam attending to this course.

IPS is a four – week training course commencing on 23 November 2020 and will be ended on 18 December 2020. The 2 segments of the course which are the Interactive Online Training Program (IOTP) on IPS/IPS.Post Workshop sponsored UPU and the EMS Operational and Performance Improvement Workshop will be running at the second and the third week of the course respectively.

The course is focused on these areas:  working with IPS/IPS.Post Software, Optimal Utilization of IPS Software – Clarification of Issues, All IPS & IPS.Post Operations including Accounting Activities, New Features and EDI Standards, EMS Business Plan, Standards, ITMATT and EAD, Implementation of EMSEVT V3 – Customer Care Performance in Asia Pacific Region, EMS International Transport – Introduction of EMS Pay-for-Performance Plan and Performance Report and Practice on Action Plan.

The numbers of participants are expected to increase during the second and third week of the course due to the organizing the 2 workshops. The self-funded seats to attend the workshop(s) are still open for the interested customers.
