The one-week Interactive Online Training Programmes (IOTPs) on Strategy to Adapt in the “New Normal” (SNN) and Setting Service Standards (SSS) was inaugurated on Monday 15 March 2021 at 09.30 hrs. and 09.45 hrs. (Bangkok time) respectively. Mr. LIN Hongliang, APPU Secretary General, and Mr. LIU Zhonglin, UPU Regional Project Coordinator for the Asia-Pacific presided over the ceremony. The two training programs are supported by UPU and funded by State Post Bureau of China. Ms. Kwanjai Kajornwutthideth, Manager Administration and APPU Affairs, Ms. YU Yan, SNN Course Director, and Ms. Padmaghanda Mishra, SSS Course Director participated in the ceremony as well.
21 participants from 17 countries namely Afghanistan, Bangladesh, China, Fiji, Indonesia, Iran, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nauru, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam attending to each SNN and SSS.
The SNN participants are equipped with the concepts of insights into the existing and potential role of postal operators in e-commerce; introduction on advanced e-commerce service solution; understanding the transformation from physical to digital aggregator of the service provider; investigation and inquiries on efficient operations and innovations in e-commerce handling; and developing knowledge of caring for the environment.
Meanwhile, the SSS participants will focus on the technique of how to understand the end to end operational process; define Service Standards, quality certification system of UPU, and customer experience management: the customer is the key; digitalize and service delivery, end to end reliability; and set up standards for each segment (E2E).
