The one-week IOTPs on Strategic Marketing Management (SMM), and Leadership Management (LM) was inaugurated on Monday 25 January 2021 at 09.30 hrs. and 13.30 hrs. Bangkok time respectively. Mr. LIN Hongliang, APPU Secretary General, and Mr. LIU Zhonglin, UPU Regional Project Coordinator for the Asia-Pacific presided over the ceremony. The two training programs are supported by UPU and funded by State Post Bureau of China. Ms. Kwanjai Kajornwutthideth, Manager Administration and APPU Affairs, Ms. YU Yan, SMM Course Director, and Ms. Padmaghanda Mishra, LM Course Director participated in the ceremony as well.
15 participants from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, China Macau, Fiji, Indonesia, Iran, Lao, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam attending to the SMM, and 16 participants from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Fiji, Indonesia, Iran, Lao, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam attending to the LM.
The IOTP on SMM will equip the participants with the formulation of the concepts of a strategic plan for parcel and logistics business; understand customers and generating insights; accelerating marketing execution through agile marketing; technical development on operations’ management for e-commerce related business; and advanced E-commerce and e-retailers solution.
Whereas the IOTP on LM focuses on the challenges of leadership in the postal industry today; engagement and communication – a better place to work; identifying potential future leaders; developing talents and building motivated careers – innovating to shape our future; Listening to lead more effectively – coaching skills and building a coaching culture across the whole organization; bringing the ideas together in action plan; and team activities to know the best practices and bringing out new ideas.
